Ready, Set, GO!

Ready, Set, Go!

The time has come, and we are leaving family, friends, security, comfort and ready to embrace the new chapter in our lives. As we count down the hours to board the plane to Guatemala, for Spanish School, we are full of emotions! We are excited, eager, nervous, joyful, and sad.  After 7 years of waiting, we leave, finally going, and serving as long term missionaries. God has been and continues to be faithful! We look forward to loving, serving, and sharing the Gospel with the people of Nicaragua. We are nervous and a little scared because we are leaving the comforts of the United States and going to live in a foreign place, not having a place to call home and going to a place where we don’t know anyone, or how to communicate. We are sad to leave a loving church family, our immediate family, and very close friends we consider family. With all the teared filled eyes, we go trusting God is Sovereign, He is Faithful, He is a good, good Father, and He is guiding every step we take. As we continue the journey, we would like to express our hearts of gratitude and thankfulness to everyone; family, friends, and all our partners for their love, encouragement, prayers, and support! Our packing is complete and we rest in knowing all these feelings are worth it because He is Worth it!  As a family of 7, we are going to be His Hands and His Feet!

The Journey

By: Cameron Furches

The Journey not the Destination

Does the Destination end the Journey?

Or is it a continuous trip

Checking off stops like a road trip

This is not the end of our past

But a step into another chapter of our testimony

We are not alone, though we may think we are

God has his hands wrapped around us

Guiding us in the direction of

His journey Not mine,

His plan Not mine,

We faithfully follow the pen of the Author of Life

Following the path, he has laid before us.
