Brian:

Matthew 9:37-38, Then he said to his disciples, “the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” After our trip, I see the truth in this verse. There are a lot of lost people in need of the Gospel and very few workers to carry the burden of ministering to the lost.  

 

Shannon:

It’s my hearts desire to have a complete confidence, a bold, unshakable faith, and a perfect trust in the Lord Almighty; to recognize that He is Sovereign in all things.  Jeremiah 17:7-8, “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

 

Cameron:
Since my family has started the process in going overseas, I’ve had people ask me, “Why are you going there? Aren’t there people hear who need saving?” I have told them, “There are people here who need saving but what about the people overseas, the ones who haven’t heard the GREAT name of Jesus?” Isaiah 6:8 says, Then I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom can I send? Who will go for us?” So I said, “Here I am. Send me!”

Emma:

1 Peter 3:3-4 “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” It reminds me daily that I shouldn’t have to worry about keeping up with the latest fashion trends because it doesn’t matter what I look like on the outside because I have Jesus in my heart and that’s more beautiful than any type of new fashion trend.

 

Hunter:

Throughout this process I’ve learned that no matter where I’m at in the world, I need to not be ashamed of the Gospel. Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

 

Allie:

No matter what age I am, I can share the Gospel for Him all around the world, especially in Nicaragua. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

 

Luke:

The people in Nicaragua need to know someone loves them. I want to love them. Mark 12:30 says, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, your soul, your mind, and your strength.”
