Our Journey Begins…

1 Chronicles 16:24, “Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all peoples. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise.”As our family takes another step of obedience toward Nicaragua, this step of fundraising is certainly a time of spiritual stretching and growing. Fundraising, as we are learning, is a type of ministry itself. This process is breaking, changing, and shaping each one of us. It is forming us into His likeness and teaching us how to depend on God, our provider for all our needs. This task will be accomplished through Him and Him alone.

Psalm 105:1, “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done.” Our family will be sharing life and ministry together with Scott and Jennifer Esposito, the REAP team, and the people in Granada, Nicaragua.  More specifically, Brian’s role will include: leading, organizing, and directing the sports program which currently consists of one thousand kids, youth, and adults. Together, our family will be working alongside the other team members serving with intentional interactions, called Touchpoints. These ministries work to cultivate community, build relationships, and disciple believers. God has called each one of our family to love, live, and share life together with the people of Granada. “Jesus looked at them and said, “With God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26. Many of you have asked what are your family’s specific needs; there are many and they are extensive. First and foremost, we need prayer. We cannot embark on this journey without it. So we invite you to become a prayer partner for the REAP ministry in Granada, Nicaragua and for our family as we continue with unwavering faith, complete surrender, and absolute dependence.

In preparation to serve overseas, our family will engage in two main responsibilities that will equip us for service. First, we will attend a month long training at the Center for Intercultural Training in Asheville, NC. This is an opportunity for our family to obtain personal and strategic tools for cross cultural ministry. In addition, our family will need to attend a three month language immersion program in Guatemala. Christian Spanish Academy is a professional school in which we will have one on one learning.

As we transition to life overseas in Granada, Nicaragua, our financial needs are significant and include: moving expenses, flight, Visa renewal, ministry and monthly living expenses. It is very costly for a family of seven to live, work, and do ministry overseas. We were asked to set a goal that only God can achieve; so we have. Our prayer is to be fully funded with a goal of $244,000 by July 2018!

Being completely surrendered to the will of God in our lives and being obedient, we have to say yes to the aspect of support raising to the job that God is calling us to. So it is with great joy, our family is inviting you to share this ministry with us and join our monthly personal support team. You are vital to our family as we answer God’s call on our lives to serve and engage the people of Nicaragua, share the Gospel, and make disciples. Our family would humbly ask for an opportunity to meet with you and hear how God is working in and changing each of our lives.

Psalm 143:8, “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.
